Virtual Teacher Training has with it many benefits: Important segments will be recorded for the first time, for you to keep and review, including experiential Restorative classes that Mary will give you trainees, such as her classic 7-Chakra Balancing workshop. Physical Adjustment cues will still be given directly along with propping and posture cues, and "virtual" adjust verbalizations to help you in the new digital teaching age. Levels 3 and 4 will have in them Reiki Training and Attunements (Levels I and II, respectively). Guest teachers may grace us with their presence and talents! Previous MM TT grads may review any modules at 50%, or take just the Reiki single days at a discount. Those enrolled in 2020 TT which was interrupted, will have their package prices honored. And those needing special package considerations and/or payment plans, I am enthusiastic to work with you on them! Go to the official description page here; email me questions!
Join me March 19-22 for this deep yet easeful dive into the ancient art and modern science of this meditation practice. Learn this empowerment for yourself and for others. It is: Nirvana, samadhi, prayer, therapy, self-hypnosis, all rolled up in one, and a mind-spa and deluxe savasana, too!
Receive tools for self-care and other-care that will be with you for a lifetime of practice and of teaching others. Teacher Training manuals for each. Segments will be recorded. Pure Yoga/MM certificates on completion.
ISHTA means "Individual": I address practice to your individual needs, per day, per season, whether you're a group class, a private or semi-private session. ISHTA Yoga is also my Yoga lineage: Certified 2002 E-RYT 500 by 2nd Generation ISHTA Yogiraj Alan Finger. Check my ZOOM schedule for weekly Slow Flow Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and YinFusion classes (Yin/Yang, Yin/Restorative, Yin/Nidra, pure Yin).
VINYASA means breath linked to movement; as such, it is a moving flow stimulating heart and lungs, muscles for strength, and joints for flexibility, and addressing all directions of the spine, in standing, seated, and balancing postures, for an all-over workout of body and mind.
RESTORATIVE Yoga is deeply restful, fully supported poses using gentle propping of pillows and blankets, for restoring our body's own natural healing rhythms, through our "rest and digest" parasympathetic nervous system. It is said that an active yoga practice requires Restorative at least once a week to balance; more often if your life is more active. Mary has been leading Restorative Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2010.
YIN Yoga cultivates calm and deep stretch, with poses held 3 to 5 minutes, to promote more health, longevity, and suppleness in all joints, bones, and the nervous systems supplying blood and circuitry through our fascia. Check out Mary's weekly YinFusions Zoom classes at her Schedule tab.
I am a certified Yoga Therapist listed with the IAYT; my 1-1 yoga therapy is online as well as in-person, and can encompass all the breath, body, mind, and spiritual tools I have explored. Contact me about consultations.
All meditations, seated or Nidra, are powerful tools for centering, and to enhance mental clarity, physical ease, and spiritual connection. Mary holds a Yoga Nidra weekly class and seasonal Teacher Trainings.
Thai Yoga, "nuad boran" is a flowing dance between giver and receiver, done on a cushioned floor mat, with the receiver fully relaxed, and the giver moving through postures themselves while facilitating movement postures for the receiver, and applying manual pressure along energy or "sen" lines that correspond to all the body's systems. Practicing since 2007. Certified by Jenn Yarro of Triple Gem School of ThaiMassage, in 2009 and 2010 Levels 1 & 2.
Reiki means "Universal Life Force" and uses hand placements to direct energy for mind-body wellness. Reiki II promotes wellness of emotions and thoughts, and Remote transcends time and space for past, future and distance energy balancing. Certified 2016 & 2017 by Brian Brunius, NYC Reiki Center; & 2020 by Lisa Powers.
AcroYoga blends the wisdom of Yoga, dynamics of Acrobatics, and lovingkindness of Thai Yoga bodywork. I teach both Yang and Yin AcroYoga (Solar and Lunar, or Acrobatic and Therapeutic) styles. Certified in 2008, 2012, & 2018 in Levels 1, 2, and Lunar Immersions by AcroYoga International. Private/Semi-Privates by appointment.
Certified by the YogaSlackers in 2012, I can guide you in the solid foundations of a Slackline 101 class, in seasonal outdoor weather in a safe park line set-up. You will learn line rigging, kneeling, sitting, standing, lying down on the line, a basic arm balance, and an inversion. Slackline Yoga tones core, legs, arms, balance and propioception, and tames the mind into a clearer, calmer focus. Plus, it's fun!
